FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Maximum panel thickness needed to use this system?
The thickness of the load-bearing layer must be greater than 100 mm in the case of a sandwich panel and greater than 140 mm in the case of a double wall.
The insulation layer, for its part, must be between 50 and 200 mm thick.
How many Thermopins should be placed per unit area? How should they be aligned?
The quantity and alignment of ThermoPins to be placed per unit area of an insulated concrete panel depends on several factors such as panel size, structural load, insulation thickness, and so on. Generally, the placement density ranges from 4 to 8 units per square meter, although this may change depending on the specific needs of the project.
ThermoPins must be placed evenly distributed along the panel surface to ensure that the loads are properly transferred between the concrete layers. It is common to follow a grid pattern (similar to a matrix), where the anchors are placed equidistant in both the vertical and horizontal directions.
Does the ThermoPin system guarantee thermal bridge breaking?
The ThermoPin is specifically designed to minimize thermal bridges in precast concrete panel construction.
Because it is made of fiberglass reinforced plastic materials, it has a very low thermal conductivity, which reduces heat transfer between the outer and inner layers of the concrete panel. Therefore, the answer is YES.
Is it valid for any type of insulation?
- Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)
- Extruded Polystyrene (XPS)
- Polyurethane
